POTTERY. Magna Graecia. 6th-4th Cent. BCE. (90 mm tall x 145 mm wide). A skyphos reconstructed from several pieces. A small, flattened foot meets a tapered body that rises up to directly form a straight lip. On both sides of the cup, handles jut from the piece. On the one face, a complicated ivy pattern is bordered by rows of dots, waves and grape forms between lines. On the opposite side, a single line bordered by rows of dots. Reassembled from fragments. Patina present. |
