Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Providentia seated left holding wand over globe and long scepter; Γ. RIC V 636 var. (officina); cf. Lyon pp. 222 and 236 (for emission and officina); BN IMP-11091 (ex Herbert Herzfelder Collection). Toned partial silvering and dark brown patina, minor weakness and slight rub at high points. Good VF. Extremely rare and unpublished. The second known example in this officina after the Bibliotheque coin from the Herzfelder Collection. Excellent detail remaining. |
