Light golden toning with significant luster, slightly double struck obverse. EF. Extremely rare.

A rare posthumous issue of Cnut, struck in the aftermath of Cnut’s death during the regency of his widow Emma Aelgifu, who held Winchester pending the arrival of her son Harthacnut from Denmark.
