Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (25.5mm, 4.20 g, 6h). Legionary issue. ‘C’ mint. IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, radiate and draped bust right / LEG VII CL AVG, bull standing right, head facing; CXXI. RIC V.5 2818 (forthcoming); cf. RIC V 274 (for similar issue). Lightly toned partial silvering with light golden hues and iridescence, minor edge split, light porosity. Good VF. Extremely rare, only two examples noted in RIC V.5.
