Theodore II Ducas-Lascaris. Emperor of Nicaea, 1254-1258. AR Trachy (28.5mm, 2.65 g, 6h). Magnesia mint. Struck 1255/1256. St. Tryphon standing facing, holding cross to chest, lys flanking / Crowned facing figure of Theodore, wearing chlamys, holding labarum-tipped scepter and patriarchal globus cruciger. DOC 6; SB 2138. Toned, a couple minor areas of weakness. Good VF. Very rare.
