Macrianus. Usurper, AD 260-261. AR Antoninianus (18mm, 3.90 g, 12h). Samosata mint. 2nd emission. Radiate and cuirassed bust right / Sol standing left, hand raised and holding globe; *|–//–. RIC V 12 (Antioch); MIR 44, 1741k; RSC 12a. Lightly toned, small flan flaw on obverse. EF. Unusually high quality silver. The reverse struck with a very fresh die.
