Titus. AD 79-81. Æ Semis (18mm, 3.41 g, 12h). “Judaea Capta” commemorative. Eastern mint (Thrace?). Struck AD 80-81. Laureate head right / Palm tree; to left, Judaea, veiled and draped, seated left, in attitude of mourning; shields below tree; to right, two upright spears, helmet, and yoke. RIC II.1 504; Hendin 6629; RPC I p. 137 (attributed to Rome). Earthen brown surfaces, cleaning marks, porosity. Good Fine. Very rare denomination in the Judaea Capta series.
