Laureate head right / Pax-Nemesis, winged and draped, advancing right, holding out fold of drapery below chin, and holding winged caduceus, pointing down at snake erect, gliding right. North Suffolk 106-8 (dies H/7); cf. RIC I 52; cf. von Kaenel Type 40; cf. RSC 65 (for official issues). Iridescent toning, lustrous, a few scratches, areas of weak strike, flan flaws on obverse, reverse slightly off center. Near EF. An excellent example of this popular contemporary counterfeit group. |
