Q. Pomponius Musa. 56 BC. AR Denarius (18.5mm, 3.85 g, 6h). Rome mint. Laureate head of Apollo right; tortoise to left / Terpsichore, the Muse of Dance, standing right, holding plectrum and lyre. Crawford 410/7c; Sydenham 820; Pomponia 18; RBW –. Attractively toned and lustrous, trace horn silver, minor die break on obverse. Near EF.
