Ex 1993 Chapmanslade Hoard.

This hoard of 5,200 coins was discovered on 18 January 1993 by Steve Murtie and Brent Pullen while searching with metal detectors on land at Chapmanslade in Wiltshire. Chapmanslade is about three miles southwest of Westbury and the hoard was found less than half a mile to the southwest of Chalcot House, another site known to have been occupied during the Roman period, where a hoard of some 1,950 radiates closing in circa 296 was discovered in the early 1970s. The terminal date of the Chapmanslade Hoard is AD 337, since it contained no identifiable coins of Constantine II and his brothers as Augusti.

Closing Date and Time: 9 March 2022 at 12:14:20 ET.

All winning bids are subject to an 18% buyer’s fee.
