KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 13.85 g, 8h). Amphipolis mint. Struck circa 288/7-282/1 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left, two monograms in exergue. Thompson 209 var. (one monogram in exergue is different); cf. Müller 539; HGC 3, 1750l. Toned, rough surfaces, light scratches, areas of corrosion. Light weight specimen, suggesting internal crystalization. Good Fine.
