MACEDON, Roman Republican period. First Meris. Circa 167-148 BC. AR Tetradrachm (34mm, 16.76 g, 9h). Amphipolis mint. Struck circa 149/8-2nd half of 2nd century BC. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield / Club right; monogram above; all within oak wreath; thunderbolt to left. Prokopov, Silver, Group III, 637a (O139/R513 – this coin); HGC 3, 1103. Toned, heavily worn obverse die. VF.
