Description et planches. 1932. 4to., pp. 113, index, plates (126)–138 and (24)–26. Volumes 1-3 bound in later blue cloth, volume 4 in the original boards with printed paper sleeve. A good, used, and attractively provenanced set, the binding rubbed at extremities, the spine of the large plate volume weak with some plates loose. Internally clean and bright, the first three volumes supposedly from the library of Max Hirmer with numerous pencil notes in a neat hand and distinctive colour-coded annotations throughout the plates volume. With the added attraction of a charming ink inscription to the title page of volume one from Jacob Hirsch, to “enthusiastic novice” C. Brown, dated Geneva, 13 April 1921. Clain-Stefanelli 1927*.
