Draped bust of Athena right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet and aegis, spear over shoudler / Athena standing facing, head left, holding Nike and hand on grounded shield; to right, spear. Hochard –; Kurth –; RPC VI Online 30620 corr. (spear on obv. not described); L&K 831A (this coin). Dark brown patina, porosity, earthen deposits, small obverse flan flaw and scrape. Good Fine. Very rare with Athena holding Nike instead of a patera. |
