THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 90-80 BC. AR Tetradrachm (34mm, 15.82 g, 12h). In the name and types of Lysimachos. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left, BY below throne, ornate trident in exergue. Callataÿ Group 3, p. 125 corr. (monogram), obv. die D34; Müller –; HGC 3, 1406. Lightly toned, porosity on obverse, traces of find patina on reverse. Good VF.
