Green jasper scarab with pharaoh’s name in hieroglyphs. Lower Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. Tuthmose III. 18th Dynasty. 1479-1425 BC. (20 mm) A scarab with a central bidirectional piercing for suspension. The back is plain with only the outline of a scarab presented. On the face, the cartouche m’n Xpr r' (Tuthmose III). The stone is worn making the engraving soft and hard to read. Fine.
