Blue glass scaraboid with water god. Phoenician. 8th-6th Cent. BCE. (16 mm) A scaraboid in blue glass with a central, bidirectional piercing for suspension. On the face, an oannes (a fish man and representation of the god of water Ea) swimming to the left. It’s tail flows behind, below, the feet of the creature seem to dangle below. His torso twists back to the right, where he looks. His right arm is outstretched. Minor deposits.
