Bronze statue of Mercury. Roman. 1st-3rd centuries CE. (7.9 cm) A bronze statue of a nude Mercury crowned, facing forward, head turned to 3/4s view to left. He holds a purse in the left hand and a caduceus in right. On his arm, a chlamys. Loss on lower portion of the statue at both ankles. Outstanding dark green patina. Two original sale tags attached. Dark brown patina with minor green deposits. Website shipping rates do not apply.
