Lot of Six (6) terracotta vessels. Roman to Chinese. 2nd-9th centuries CE. Roman. 2nd – 3rd Cent. CE: (6.5 cm high x 7 cm wide) Terracotta pot with tapered foot and raised lip. Lip broken and loss of approximately half of the lip // (7.8 cm) Roman redware cup with tapered body, defined and flared foot. Encrustation over much of the piece // (9.1 cm) A pottery cup with ribbed diamond shaped body tapering to a small foot. The lip is flared. A small handle is mounted to the side of the flared lip and top of the body. Crack on piece from lip // (20 cm. high) An oinochoe (pitcher) of simple design in redware. Lentoid shaped body with flat foot and lightly flared lip. Simple handle from neck to base of body. Heavy encrustations over piece obscure redware // Islamic Dynasties: c. 6th-9th Cent. CE. (9.2 cm) Oil lamp with thick walls, a rounded body with squat handle and nozzle. Two intentional piercings to take oil and wick. Hole in base. Sandy encrustations // Chinese. 2nd – 3rd Cent. CE: (12 cm) Terracotta tube with three rows of decorative linear design. Lip present. Six (6) items in lot. Website shipping rates do not apply.
