MACEDON, Philippi. Vespasian. AD 69-79. Æ (23mm, 9.08 g, 5h). Bare head left / Statue of Augustus being crowned by Divus Julius Caesar on base, low altar to left and right. RPC II 343A-B (COS III or VI, illegible); Varbanov 3778 var. (head left, obv. legend). Brown patina with earthen highlights, cleaning marks. Near Fine. Very rare, only one in CoinArchives, two of each variety in RPC.
