Uncertain. protospatharios and strategos, circa 10th century. PB Seal (26mm, 10.07 g, 12h). Facing bust of the Theotokos, orans; MP ΘV, each with macron above, across field / + [Θ]KЄ RO/A ΠOMANI/CΠAΘ S/[C]TPAT Γ/OΦЄ/– + – in six lines. Thick tan earthen patina, worn at high points, a few edge splits. Good VF.

An unusual seal, in that the invocation may refer to Christ, rather than the Theotokos (who appears on the obverse), as well as the owner’s name, appearing in the second line. Worthy of more detailed research.
