THRACE, Pautalia. Commodus. AD 177-192. Æ Triassarion (26mm, 9.23 g, 6h). Struck circa AD 177-9. Bareheaded and draped bust right, seen from behind / River-god Strymon reclining left, holding branch and reed, resting elbow on urn from which water flows. Tachev Pautalia 14 (O5/R11); Ruzicka –; RPC IV.1 8882; Varbanov 4582 var. (rev. legend arrangement). Green patina, chipped, light cleaning scratches. VF. Extremely rare, only one specimen known to RPC.
