LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. AR Nomos (23mm, 7.92 g, 11h). Wreathed head of Demeter left / Barley ear of seven grains, leaf to left; tongs above leaf, [A]ΘA below. Johnston Class C, 4.2 (same dies); HN Italy 1583. Lightly toned, underlying luster, area of weak strike, traces of horn silver, some cleaning marks. Good VF.
