Alexius III Angelus-Comnenus. 1195-1203. EL Aspron Trachy Nomisma (29mm, 4.64 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck 1197-1203. Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing; four pellets above cushion on either side / Alexius and St. Constantine I, each wearing loros and holding cruciform scepter, standing facing, holding labarum between them. Cf. DOC 2 (for type); SB 2009. Toned, traces of deposits in obverse margin, hairline flan cracks. EF.
