Laureate head of Zeus right / Athena standing right biga of elephants, brandishing spear and shield; Δ-in-circle above, Π below. SC 280.3a var. (no control mark below elephant); SMAK S1DI var. (unlisted dies and variety with lower control mark); HGC 9, 32f. Toned, a hint of granularity, deposit on reverse. VF. Apparently unique as a drachm with this control below the elephant (but see below). |
