CELTIC, Danube Region. Imitating Thasos. Circa 1st Century BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.65 gm). Wreathed head of Dionysos left, style highly degraded / Herakles standing facing, head right, holding club and lion's skin; legend degraded to dots, small crescent on either side of Herakles. Cf. Lukanc S32=CCCBM I 236 (obverse); Göbl, OTA Class V. Toned, good VF, typical wavy flan. Rare with a left facing head. ($250)
