HANOVER. Victoria. 1837-1901. Proof AR Crown (37mm, 28.27 g, 6h). Young head coinage. Gothic type. London mint. Dually dated 1847 (in Roman numerals) and RY undecimo. Crowned and mantled bust left / Crowned cruciform coats-of-arms around Order of the Garter; rose, thistle, and shamrock in quarters composed of arches ending in lis. L&S 57; ESC 288; SCBC 3883. Proof, some obverse staining, wiped, much underlying brilliance.
