Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Cistophorus (29mm, 10.94 g, 6h). Uncertain mint C in Asia. Struck after AD 128. Bare head right / Cult statue of Artemis Ephesia standing facing, extending hands and flanked by stags and thymiateria. RIC II 489; Metcalf, Cistophori, type 88, 327 (O2/R2) = SNG von Aulock 6622 (this coin); Pinder 69; BMCRE 1061; RSC 319. Good VF, toned, minor scratches from old cleaning, green deposits. Overstruck on another cistophorus of uncertain type.
