Dated RY 34 of the Guāngxù Emperor (1908). “zào yáng běi • kù píng qī qián èr fēn •,” (Made in Běiyáng/Treasury scales equal to 7 qián and 2 fēn) in Hànzì, “bǎo yuán guāng xù,” (Valuable yuán of Guāngxù) in Hànzì around similar legend in Manchu script / 34th YEAR OF KUANG HSÜ./• PEI YANG •, flying imperial dragon facing, coiled leftward around fireball and surrounded by stylized clouds. L&M 465; Kann 208; KM (Yeoman) 73.2. In PCGS slab graded MS 64, lustrous and lightly toned.
